So here at Hulkageddon we're sure that all of you intrepid miners have been seeing the impending HULKAGEDDON and have been wondering to yourself "How am I going to stay alive?" Fear not, we have come up with an insurance system to prevent you from losing your ships.
All you need to do is send 5 million isk to this character, Hulkageddon Insurance, with INSURANCE as the reason. Your name will be added to a public list in this post, and any ship loss, backed up by a genuine killmail, will be completely reimbursed by myself. In addition, anyone who kills someone on the Hulkageddon Insurance list will not be eligible to receive any prizes, no matter how many other miners they may have killed.
This is the only official, legitimate insurance available. All other insurances are un-affiliated with Hulkageddon, and they can not be guaranteed to keep you safe.

I am, in fact, associated with Hulkageddon, which is how I can offer this service. If I wasn't associated with Hulkageddon then I would have no power to make sure that people can't receive prizes for killing people who have purchased insurance.

Yes theoretically I could be scamming. But why would I? I guarantee there will be a Hulkageddon III next year, and I would much rather stay in business. I'll make far more money staying in business for several years than I ever would by simply doing this once as a scam.

Those two posts you refer to are scam posts. Hulkageddon decided, after seeing these scammers, to put together an official insurance. We don't want to see people losing their ships thinking they have insurance, but then getting screwed over by scammers. This official insurance is guaranteed to work and is the only legit way to protect your ships.
